I wonder if any of the students wrote the test answers inside the box?

The Dead Sea
The one thing that I want to experience in my life that I have not already done is to swim in the Dead Sea.
It is extremely fascinating to me that it takes no effort at all to float, due to the amount of salt in the water.
The Dead Sea is the lowest elevation on land and is one of the saltiest bodies of water on our planet. It has about eight times more salt than our oceans. It is such a unique place that it has become a center for health and research.

Universal Symbol of Freedom
It is always fun to come across photos from the past.
Check out these images from the late 1800s of the construction of The Statue of Liberty.
The Statue of Liberty Enlighting the World was a gift of friendship from the people of France to The Unitied States. Isn't it crazy to think what people built years ago without the tools we have today?  (Not to mention what they use to build more than a 1,000 years ago.)

Inside or outside?

How far would you go to decorate if you were going to have a special party? Well, to celebrate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and raise money for the York Minster Fund, the Lindum company installed 16,000 square feet of grass in York Minster Cathedral.
Nine hundred guests gathered for this joyous event.
How fun! It looks so cool.

Looking for a simple, fun craft to do with your kids?

Fold cardstock into a cone shape.
Bunch up tissue paper into a ball and put it in the cone.
Place strips of paper over the tissue paper.

Cut up strips of paper and connect them together.
You can make the eyes, nose, feet and antennas with whatever you have in your house.
(Raisins, macaroni, etc.)

Line a glass bowl with plastic wrap.
Tear up pieces of tissue paper.
Mix a little water in white glue.
Glue the pieces down.
After a few layers, remove the bowl and plastic wrap.
Let it dry.

Feeling a Little Jazzie?

In Timisoara, Romania there is the coolest lounge I have ever seen.

The Jazzissimo Lounge renovated to make it look more "jazzie".
Check out those sinks! I would love to visit this place.

Futuristic Camera

We have come a long way with technology and everyday there is a new product that amazes me.
The Iris, invented by Mimi Zou, is a camera that is controlled entirely by your eyes. To get the perfect zoom you can either squint or widen your eyes. When it is time to snap the image, just blink twice. It can even identify people!
Pretty incredible!
