The world's first "green" tires may be hitting the road within the next few years and they'll likely be made from sugar.

Many tire companies have struggled with the high prices of natural and synthetic rubber so they are looking for a new way to make them with raw materials.
Traditionally, petroleum has been used to make almost 1 billion tires a year worldwide.
Each tire takes 7 gallons of oil to manufacture.
This new discovery could help save our planet.

A new island is formed!

Just off the coast of Yemen, in the Red Sea, a volcano erupted.
NASA has captured images from space and it looks like a new island has been formed.
This is the first eruption in the Zubair Archipelago since at least 1846.
I can't wait to see how this turns out.

Dishes and utensils made from orange peels

Designer, Ori Sonnenschein, has thought of a brilliant idea!
He made biodegradable products using orange peels because they are cheap and light in weight.

Sonnenschein experimented with different foods to find the perfect peel.

So far this Solskin collection includes a cup, spoon, plate, salt shaker, bottle and bowl.

Sonnenschein is still working on other ideas using the orange peel.
The best thing about these objects are they still keep the citrus smell.
