Owl Know How

Did you know that Henry Ford became popular in the early 1900's due to the assembly line rather than his creation of the Model A and Model T?
Almost everything around us is created by some sort of assembly line; either by human or machine.
Even this video includes it.
This video, by Isobel Knowles, started with just a single character known as Cat Rabbit, but eventually became
a child's book called Owl Know How. Cat and Isobel are the partners that work on these videos and books.
They even have workshops for children to attend in which they teach participants how to make puppets.

Willie Nelson Covers Coldplay

Country music legend, Willie Nelson, recorded this amazing version of Coldplay's "The Scientist" for a short animation entitled "Back to the Start."
Johnny Kelly created this beautiful animation to promote sustainable farming.
Both the film and the soundtrack were paid for by Chipotle so has a commercial element to it but I still love it!
The film was released last summer but even if you've already seen it, go ahead and watch it again!

Mind Blowing Stop Motion Graffiti

This is an oldie but a goodie, totally worth a post just in case you haven't seen it before.
The video is called COMBO and it is the result of a beautiful collaboration between two artists.
David Ellis is a painter, film maker, and musician while Blu is a street artist and stop-motion painter.
Hey - even if you've seen it before, go ahead and watch it again!

The Most Unusual Guacamole Video You Have EVER Seen

Adam Pesapane, known as PES, is one of the most original animators of our time.
Just watch this video, "Fresh Guacamole", and I'm sure you will agree.
PES is currently working on his first full length movie based on the Garbage Pail Kids...I'm sure it will be awesome!

Fluffy McCloud...The Cutest Cloud I've Ever met

I am loving this short animation by Conner Finnegan.
"A short film about man's misunderstanding and mixed relationship with mother nature (barf!).."
Conner made this animation as his graduate film from IADT National Film School.
He shot it in his attic using any camera that he could borrow.

What Do I Want To Be When I Grow Up?

I am loving this animation, "When I Grow Up" by Jasmin Lai.
A little girl is faced with the question of what she wants to be and the choices are a endless and overwhelming.
This video isn't just directed at small children, I know plenty of people of all ages who still struggle with this question.

A Little Lesson on Feelings

I'm loving this stop-motion animation on feelings by artist Hine Mizushima.
Cute felted animals are used to teach very small children about feelings.

The Mother Company hired Hine to make this video to be part of a children's DVD, "Ruby's Studio: The Feelings Show."

I think everyone can benefit from a refresher course on what to do with your bad feelings.
This short is filled with cute little sayings like:
"Listen to what you feelings tell you."
"If people know what's wrong they can help you feel better."

Falling Towers

This video is so cool.
Towers take on human characteristics and they crash to the ground.

You Can't Do This With A Kindle

Husband and wife team, Sean and Lisa Ohlenkamp, create cool animations using books.

There first effort is the video on the bottom called "Organizing The Shelf".
They make books look like they are dancing.

The newest video is a much larger effort.
Sean and Lisa created this beautiful advertisement for Type Books in Toronto.
They needed a crew of over 20 people to complete this animation.

Love these quirky cool stop-motions.
Enjoy!
