Are we getting too lazy?
At one time or another, everyone of us has tried shooting a basket in a can with a piece of trash. Some of us have better aim than others.
Minoru Kurata has created a special garbage can that moves when it senses a piece of trash near by.
He is currently working on getting a patent for this trash can. Don't be surprised if you see it in stores soon.

Turn your drawings into 3d objects
Wow, check out this cool pen. There is no need to draw pictures in 3d when you can actually just make the image yourself. It is a like a 3d printer. You can make your own toys or jewelry.
I want one of these!

We have a love for the "Hang" here at Cool Like Pie.

Apparently,"Hangs" are really hard to find. The original creators of the instrument are no longer making them. Oh no, quick, somebody please learn how to make these and start selling them!

The Perfect Holiday Gift

I often see famous musicians play the keyboard standing up, but if you have ever tried this, I am sure you would agree with me that it is harder than it looks.
It looks like this new instrument, the "Curvitar," by Yasin Bayraktar from Turkey, could be the perfect solution!
The curved keyboard makes it much easier to play standing up.
In the 1980's, keytars allowed musicians to move, but the Curivitar makes it visually pleasing.

If You Like Pina Colada and Getting Caught in the Rain...

If you are a Pina Colada lover you will be happy to hear that researchers from The Department of Agriculture in Australia have been working on a new type of pineapple that has a coconut flavor. This pineapple, unlike the normal one we are use to, is much lower in acid. It is also sweeter and juicier. Now, instead of adding that coconut flavor to your Pina Colada, all you have to do is add a little rum with this pineapple and you will have the perfect drink!

Everyone Likes a Mystery!

Legend has it, these stairs were created by an expert carpenter whose identity has never been revealed. So what?
Well, the real mystery is how the stairwell is engineered to work, without a central pole with wooden pegs, no nails, and no attachment to a wall!

While I would not try building staircases like this at home, I would recommend a visit if you're ever in Santa Fe, New Mexico!
For more research and different theories surrounding this story, look up "The Mysterious Staircase".
