Bat Flower

There are many animals that resemble other types of animals, but it is not as common when we see a plant that resembles an animal.
This flower looks like a bat.

These flowers can grow up to twelve inches tall and can grow whiskers up to thirty inches.
These plants are often found in the Yunnan Province of China, Thailand and Burma.
They were introduced to Europe and The Americans in the early 1800's.
We may have heard of them as Tacca plants.
This jungle plant grows best in a shaded, outdoor area.
