The African "Yellowstone National Park"

This could be one on the most unique looking volcanic craters in the world.
At the the heart of the Danokil Desert, North East of Ethiopia, sits this volcanic crater known as Dallol.
Not many visitors travel here; however, there are many interesting things to see.
There are acidic hot springs, mountains of sulphur, tons of salt, gas geysers and pools of acid isolated by salt ridges.
In order to get to this place you must ride a camel or rent a 4WD vehicle.
If you plan to visit, the closest town to Dollol is called Mekele.  It may take you a day to get there, but it looks like it would be worth it.
