The World's Fair 1900
The Exposition Universelle (The World's Fair) was held in Paris, France in 1900.
This particular fair was held to celebrate the achievements of the past century and to accelerate the future developments.
There were a lot of very cool things that were shown for the first time ever at this fair.
Escalators
First Films Ever Publicly Projected
Diesel Engine (That ran on peanut oil)
Thanks to William Henry Goodyear, there is a big collection of photos documenting this event.
He traveled to the Paris Exposition with photographer Joseph Hawkes.
Together they collected and preserved our history.
