Giant Ancient Insect Brought Back From Extinction

Off the coast of Australia there is an extremely remote island called "Bali's Pyramid."
There is nothing on this rock, nobody lives here, and very few people visit.

A few years ago, two climbers made an unbelievable discovery.
About 225 feet up the rock, they discovered a prehistoric stick bug called Dryococelus australis.
They discovered living insects that were thought to be extinct.

The first attempt to remove a male and female from the island resulted in failure.
The second attempt, spearheaded by zookeeper Rohan Cleave, was a success.

These bugs have now successfully bred, and there are now a few more in existence.
This video shows the birth of a giant stick bug.
