Hiding An Aircraft During WWII
When a country is at war, it is important that they are able to keep some secrets from the enemy.
America went through great lengths to conceal a Lockhheed Burbank aircraft during WWII.
Camouflaging this aircraft was important not only to protect the plane from a Japanese air attack, but also to keep the element of surprise about the equipment we had at our disposal.
The Army Corps of Engineers covered the plane with a giant net.
From the sky, the entire area looked like the typical landscape.
Kind of makes you wonder what else we might hiding under giant nets.
