Prettiest Pond in the World

This beautiful pond, located in Giverny, France, is an image some of us are familiar with.
It may remind you of a painting you have seen.

In the late 1800's, Claude Monet became fascinated by Japanese engravings Amsterdam merchants were using as wrapping paper.
This sparked his desire to learn everything about Japanese design.

His goal was to make a Water Garden Pond.
Once he saved enough money, he purchased land near his home and started on this project.

Little did he know, but this garden was the inspiration for all of his famous paintings.
