Forget The Paintbrush, Hand This Man A Drill
Andrew Myers is rocking my world with these portraits made entirely out of common household screws.
Each portrait contains anywhere from 6,000-10,000 screws.
Andrew claims the idea just came to him one day, and it took him 6 months to complete his first project.
He starts each project with an intense amount of planning.
He then must pre-drill each hole to ensure the screws go in straight.
Each screw is at it's own unique height, creating a beautiful three-dimensional effect.
Then he uses a tiny brush to paint each and every screw head.
The background is plastered with pages from the subject's local yellow pages.
These portraits are selling for around $35,000 each....good for you Andrew!
