"Gas Works Park is Easily the Strangest Park in Seattle, and May Rank Among the Strangest in the World."

Gas Works Park in Seattle, Washington is a really cool place to visit.
This public park is on the site of the former Seattle Gas Light Company Gasification Plant, right in the middle of the city.
Remnants of the coal gasification plant, that operated from 1906-1956, are incorporated into the design of the park.
The park officially opened to the public back in 1975.
Visitors to the park can walk around the ruins, fly a kite on the kite-flying hill, visit the children's "play-barn", or sit and enjoy the beautiful views of the city.
