What Happened to Amelia Earhart?
Aviator Amelia Earhart's disappearance has been a mystery to all of us. Today in Honolulu, a new expedition started in hopes to solve this mystery. Researchers have high hopes due to funding and the high tech equipment we have these days.
According to The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery, Amelia and Noonan safely landed on Nikumaroro Island (which was called Gardner's Island) in 1937, instead of the island they originally planned to land on. Soon after, the plane was blown out to sea, leaving them with no form of communication because the radio was attached to the plane. When the U.S. Navy went to look for them they just passed by this island.
Sounds like a good theory! Hopefully, this new expedition will lead us to more clues.
