Real Pearls vs. Fake Pearls
Have you ever opened an oyster in hopes of finding a pearl? As many of you may know, the reason why pearls are expensive is because they are found in nature and not produced in mass quantities by machines. 
Could this change?
Just a few days ago, scientists discovered a way to 
make the iridescent coating that is found in mollusks.
I wonder if someday pearls will be made in machines?
