Happy Birthday to the Man Inside the Can

Kenny Baker, the actor that played R2-D2 in all six Star Wars movies, turned 78 years old today.

He was born on August 24, 1934 and grew to stand only 3ft 8in tall.
When Kenny was 17 years old, he joined a theatrical troupe and sort of "ran away with the circus."
It was through live performances that Kenny developed a taste and knack for show business.
George Lucas hired him to be the man inside of R2-D2 in 1977, when he was 43.
Kenny Baker brought the charm and personality to R2-D2. Thank you Kenny!
