Should Police Officers Carry Firearms?
There are many debates on gun laws, but most people don't seem to have a problem with police officers carrying guns. In the United States, all police officers usually have a gun on them when they are on duty.
There are also some countries where police officers carry machine guns.
It is quite intimidating to see this!
In the United Kingdom, most police officers don't carry any type of firearms. This originates back when the Metropolitan Police Service began in the 19th Century. They did not want to scare people like the British Army did in the past.
Instead of carrying firearms, these officers are equipped with bars, cuffs, and sprays.
