Using an Asteroid to Shade Our Planet From the Sun
Scientists in Scotland are now suggesting that we could move a giant asteroid closer to Earth to shade us from the sun and save us from global warming.
It wouldn't actually be the asteroid blocking the sun, but rather a giant dust cloud that would be gravitationally anchored to the asteroid.
Scientists hypothesize that if we can move the 11 million-billion pound asteroid to the exact spot where the sun and Earth's gravitational pull cancel each out, then the asteroid will be no threat to Earth.
What the heck?
We seriously need to start paying attention to our green sides.
