The Reclining Buddha of Bangkok
Within the Wat Pho Temple, located in Bangkok, Thailand, lies this insanely long and golden sculpture of Buddha.
Known as the Reclining Buddha, this giant is about 50 feet tall and over 140 feet long. That is bigger than the blue whale.
This Buddha is covered in bronze which makes him have the appearance of being made out of gold.
He is housed in a building that just barely fits him, so the inside of the temple feels filled with Buddha.
It's almost impossible to get a sense of how large this sculpture is from a photo, but here are some of the best photos I could find.
