Back in the sixth century, a man by the name of Tamo left his home in India and ended up at the Shaolin Monastery in China teaching Zen meditation. The Shaoling Monastery was built in 494 AD and housed 2,000 monks at the time.
Tamo noticed how several of the monks struggled with this strict life style, so he created a series of mental and physical exercises to strengthen health and stamina.
Although it is debatable, some believe that this was the beginning of Shaolin Kung Fu.
