A Born Pilot

Jim Hester sure experienced it all. How many people do you know will walk on the wing of a plane when it is in the air?  I am assuming not many. Jim was born in 1898 and grew up on a cattle ranch in California. Jim began his career as a Chief Research Engineer, but quickly turned a hobby of his into a career. After he served in WWI for a short time he became a stunt pilot. You can see a few of the crazy stunts he did in some of the photographs from his collection. I am guessing that a Chief Research Engineer wasn't thrilling enough for him!
