Happy 55th Sputnik!

Fifty-five years ago today, the Soviet Union sent Sputnik into orbit. This was the first artificial satellite in history. One month later, they sent another satellite, Sputnik II, into orbit with a dog named Laika. We sure have accomplished a lot with technology in the past 55 years!
