A Child's Dream Vacation

I can't think of a better place for Legoland.
Legos were invented in this small town of Billund, Denmark. Even though it is not as big as the one in California, there are still 59 million legos that are put together to create this park. The park has a roller coaster, as well as different themed sections such as the wild west, a knight's kingdom, and even an aquarium.

Watch Out For The Bite of a Russell's Viper

If you're traveling to the East, anywhere from India to Taiwan, be sure to make a mental picture of the snake in the photograph below and STAY AWAY.
My theory is to stay far away from all snakes, but the Russell's Viper is known as one of the most poisonous snakes in the world.

These snakes tend to stay clear of cities, but out in farmland, they are abundant.
Growing to be about 5 feet long, just one untreated bite can lead to death in humans.
These snakes reproduce like crazy; a female can lay as many as 25 eggs at a time!

"Real Cowboys Ride Motorbikes"

I'm loving this photo of a Mongolian horse herder using a moped to round up and move the horses.
It's cool to see just a touch of the modern world in a place where so much is done the old fashion way.
Great photo!

A fearful enemy

The emerald cockroach wasp is quite torturous to its enemy, the cockroach.  Cockroaches have no chance against them! first, the wasp stings the cockroach to prevent them from running away and again to make them sluggish. At this point. the wasp drags the cockroach by its antennas to a safe spot and lays an egg on it. During the next Six weeks, a cocoon is spun inside the shell of the cockroach. Then a wasp is born! THE EGG HATCHES INTO LARVAE THAT END UP EATING THE COCKROACH FROM THE INSIDE OUT. The larval wasps secrete a antimicrobial compound so the cockroach does not spoil over time.

Remedy: A Chicago Band Singing With a Purpose

Mr. Ralph Braseth found four musicians performing "in the tunnel between the red and blue lines."
Remedy is apparently a band trying to reach out to kids who have made a few bad choices. Oh, and they are really good singers.
They are hoping to help keep kids out of trouble and they know what it's like to be "trouble-makers."

I wish I knew more about these guys but I couldn't find anymore information.
They should put together a website and sing for us!

A Moose and His Antlers

Only male moose grow antlers, that I already knew.
What I didn't know was that the antlers fall off each and every fall after mating season.
Weird...
Come springtime, the moose will regrow a new set of antlers.
It takes about five months for the antlers to fully develop...something about this process just seems exhausting.

The Magic of Photoshop Brings Van Gogh Back To Life

Lithuanian artist, Tadao Cern, created this incredible image that looks like a photograph of Vincent Van Gogh.
Tadao says only this, "Some time ago a stranger asked me to make his portrait... So I did.
And it seem that the guy was Vincent Van Gogh..."

I love it!

Another Street Performer Gone Viral

You have to wonder where in the world street performers like this guy learn to do what they do.
Watch this guy sitting down in mid-air and try not to be totally amazed.

Intercollegiate Ice Sculpting Competition in Michigan

Every January, over 20 students from all over the Midwest travel to Holland, Michigan to compete in an ice sculpting competition.
Each competitor is given a 300 pound block of ice to transform into a work of art.
They use chisels, chainsaws, and torches to melt and sculpt the ice.

I would love to try this at least once in my life!
