Finally, Toys That Are Good For Kids AND The Earth!
Italian designer Davide Paganotti has created these really cool concept toys.
These rocking "horses" are 100% recyclable and can be personalized with crayons, pens, paint, and stickers.
I love this idea and would like very much to see these toys come to market.
The planet is desperate for a good alternative to the plastic toys our children play with.
Amazing Photography of an Unusual Race in Switzerland
In the 1940's the Swiss Army began having soldiers compete in a race held in the Pennine Alps.
This race involves hiking and skiing in a team of three up a giant snowy mountainside.
It was extremely dangerous and could easily turn deadly, so the race was banned in 1949.
In 1984, the race started up again and is held every other year to this day.
The record times for completing the race are:
5 hours 52 minutes 20.7 seconds for a mens team in 2010
7 hours 41 minutes 18 seconds for a women's team in 2010.
Check out these incredible photos by Swiss photographer Jürg Kaufmann of the race....so beautiful!
"Set Aside Time & Do It" by Ella Zheng
Ella Zheng has created this clever poster to illustrate her newest project DESTINATION:PLAY.
DESTINATION:PLAY is an ambitious adventure to learn a new skill each and every week.
While creating the poster she also mastered her newest skill called embroidery.
It took her at least 1 hour to create each letter...that's a lot of hours!

Stop Hitting That Snooze Button
Scientists at the University of Toronto recently completed a sleep study that involved a little more than 700 people.
They discovered that the older we get, the more likely we are to become early risers.
This might be a big bummer if you're the kind of person that likes to sleep in past noon. However, the up side is that people who wake up early are generally happier.
So, maybe we all get happier with age...that's a fun idea!
Odd Event Raises Money for a Good Cause
I'm loving these photographs of the Santa Fun Run in Hastings, East Sussex, UK.
Apparently this event is held once a year to raise money for St. Michael's Hospice Center.
This is such a fun way to support the community.
