Soccer Ball Found in Alaska Belongs To a Japanese Teen Who Lost Everything in the Tsunami
Misaki Murakami is a 16 year old tsunami survivor who lost his entire house in the massive waves that crashed into Japan last year.
He is surprised and thankful that his soccer ball has been found and soon will be back with him.
The ball was found by David Baxter on Middleton Island (an Alaskan island about 70 miles south of Alaska's mainland).
David's wife, Yumi, was able to translate the Japanese written on the ball, which is how they found Misaki.
The soccer ball had traveled over 5,100 miles by sea.
