Australian scientists discovered a pair of insect-like eyes they believe belong to a prehistoric super-predator.
The eye fossil is believed to be 500 million years old.
The eyes were 1.2 inches wide.
They were found in the rocks on Australia's Kangaroo Island.
The Anomalocaris is the name of this super-predator.
The Anomalocaris is considered to be the "Great White Shark" of that time period.
He was at the top of the food chain.
Perhaps those giant eyes helped him catch his prey.
