Watch Out for Those Jellyfish!
Off the coast of Koror in Palau, you will find hundreds of Golden Jellyfish in Jellyfish Lake.
These jellyfish are not dangerous to humans. Every year thousands of tourists travel here to experience swimming with these little critters.
Swimmers still need to be cautious because there is a layer of poisonous hydrogen sulfide 15 feet below the surface of the lake.
This lake is 12,000 years old and once connected to the Pacific Ocean.
In 1998, all the jellyfish disappeared and then reappeared again in 2000.
No one can figure out this mystery....what a strange lake.
