I thought the Liberty Bell was large, but it isn't as big as the Tsar Bell. The Tsar Bell which is located between the Kremlin Wall and the Ivan the Great Bell Tower in Russia. This bell is the largest bell in the world, but it has never been rung! It was actually broken during casting.
A fire broke out during construction of the bell and it spread to the its wooden support. The guards threw water on the bell to save it. The water caused several cracks in the bell and also caused a part of it to break off. The bell fell back into the casting pit and wasn't moved again for over 100 years. Many attempts were made to move the bell, but it took until1836 when Auguste de Montferrand removed it and placed in on a stone pedestal.
The broken part alone is three times bigger than the bell at Liverpool Cathedral, which is the largest working bell in the world.
