The Einstein of Apes
A 31-year old Bonobo ape is smarter than a human toddler.
He is able to read, write, eat, play with toys and has a vocabulary that consists of about 1,000 words.
Kanzi communicates in full sentences using symbols to represent worlds such as: water, shoe, run, laugh, etc.
Kanzi lives in The Great Ape Sanctuary outside of Des Moines, Iowa.
To get his message across, Kanzi either taps the symbols on a keyboard or points to the object on a piece of paper.
When Kanzi wants to order pizza, he points to the symbols of a tomato, cheese, and bread.
He can build a fire, prepare meals, request marshmallows to burn over the fire and even play video games.
Wow, this is amazing!
I would love to see what else Kanzi is going to learn.
