This is one hyper-focused and determined artist.
I am always impressed with corn mazes, but this display takes it to a whole new level.
It took Japanese artist, Motoi Yamamoto, two weeks (working 14-hours a day) to create this detailed maze out of salt.
He filled bottles up with salt and carefully drew the puzzle on the floor.
This exhibit "Forest of Beyond" is currently on display at the Hakone Open-Air Museum in Kanagawa.
Motoi created this maze in honor of his sister who sadly passed away.
Salt is an important symbol in the Japanese culture, when a person dies the family members sprinkle salt on themselves to free them of evil spirits.
