Street Art In The Slums Of Kibera, Kenya
Way back in 2009, the street artist and photographer known as JR did some amazing work in Kibera, Kenya.
These images are so powerful, that they have stayed with me over the past few years and I felt compelled to revisit and share them with you.
It took JR over a year of working and planning to be able to cover over 2,000 square meters of rooftops and a moving train with photos of the eyes and faces of the women of Kibera.
The train passes through the town twice a day, and for a just a moment, the faces match up and become complete.
