The First Ever Academy Juvenile Award
The Academy Juvenile Award, also known as the Juvenile Oscar, was given out in 1935 to Shirley Temple.
This award was designed to give to incredible performers under the age of 18.
This award no longer exists, they retired the Juvenile Oscar in 1961.
Shirley Temple was only 6 years old when she received her award.
This tiny Oscar is similar to the real Oscar, but it is only 7 inches tall.
Shirley Temple began her career in film in 1932, when she was only 4 years old.
She went on as an actress, singer and dancer for quite some time.
She retired from working in the film industry in 1950 at the age of 22.
She totally deserved the real 13 1/2 inch tall Oscar, if you ask me!
