Seattle, Washington is one of my favorite American cities.
There are so many wacky and artistic niches to go visit and see.
When I'm in Seattle, I always make sure to stop by and hang out with the famous Fremont Troll.
The Troll is a giant piece of public art that is located under the Aurora Bridge.
It's crazy to be walking through the Fremont neighborhood and stumble upon this freakishly large sculpture.
The Troll is holding onto an actual VW Beetle in it's left hand.
You can climb all over the Troll and really interact with the art as long as you'd like.
Back in 1990, there was an art competition to see what artists could come up with to put under this bridge.
The bridge had become a bit sketchy and scary, so they were hoping to clean it up with a big piece of art.
It worked, The Troll was built later that year, and now the Aurora Bridge is a safe fun place to visit.
The artists behind The Fremont Troll are Steve Badanes, Will Martin, Donna Walter, and Ross Whitehead.
