Back in 2008, Yi So-yeon spent 11 days in out space on a Russian flight to the International Space Station.
Yi is bright, young, and one of only about 530 human beings to ever be in space.
Neil Armstrong is obviously a huge hero of Yi's, even though she was born 10 years after he landed on the moon.
She said, "As a Korean, I cannot forget that he is a veteran of the Korean War." She continued, "As an astronaut, he is the greatest."
Neil flew about 78 combat missions when he was fighting for South Korea's freedom.
Many of these missions were extremely dangerous and it is pure luck that he survived the war to become one of the most famous men on the planet.
Unfortunately, Yi never had the chance to meet Neil in person. She said, "I dare dream to be like him, and I wish I can find a way to pay back all he gave me in any way, even though I will not be able to directly tell him.”
