The American White Pelican is a migratory creature that can be spotted at various times of the year all over our country.
During the winter, these guys fly south, sometimes as far south as Central America.
Once Spring hits, the pelicans gather together in large groups and head north, all the way up to Montana and Southern Canada.
That means people have an opportunity to spot a pelican in every state in between.
Often, people are shocked to see these birds. The pelicans have wingspans up 9 feet wide!
The American White Pelican is a sight to see, especially in the middle of Oklahoma!
