Photographer Melvin Sokolsky was born in 1938 in New York City.
He had no training in photography, he simply started to use his dad's camera when he was about 10 years old.
When Melvin was about 20 years old he met a few other photographers and learned that they were earning a living from taking pictures.
Soon enough, Melvin was also making money from his photographs.
These strange "Bubble" photos were shot in 1963.
Why not have models "floating" in giant clear plastic bubbles?
