On every other street corner it seems as if there is either a McDonalds or Starbucks.
The McDonald brothers opened a shop in Monrovia, California in 1937 and the hamburgers were only ten cents.
You could even buy an unlimited amount of orange juice for just 5 cents.
In October 1948, the McDonald brothers realized they were making most of their money form hamburgers, so they closed down their drive-in and opened up a place that served a simple menu of just hamburgers, cheeseburgers, french fries, shakes, soft drinks, and apple pie.
That is when they changed the name to McDanald's.
